Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram is in favour of adopting a hard stance against the Naxalites. Every now and then P.C. has also indicated this. He has turned down the cease fire proposal of the
Naxalites. Because he knows that the Naxalites only want the cease fire up to the rainy season. Once the rains would start, searching, capturing and killing the Naxalites would become a difficult task for
the security forces. So the Home Minister is busy preparing how before June a big operation can be launched to completely decimate the Naxalites.
