The ball in Congress’ court |
December 20 2012 |
Mayavati has lived upto her promise of friendship and now it’s the Congress turn. Will the Congress floor manage to pass the SC-ST Bill, one that is a matter of honour for Mayavati. To pass the bill, not only does there need to be a constitutional amendment, but there needs to be a two-third majority for the bill to be passed. The Samajwadi Party is opposed to the bill. Once bitten, twice shy, the BJP doesn’t want to make the same mistake. Meanwhile, it is the real test for Kamal Nath and his team. |
