The BJP is with Raj |
February 27 2013 |
The Congress and the NCP are not particularly pleased with the closeness that has developed between the BJP and Raj Thackeray. A few days ago, during Gautam Adani’s son’s wedding in Goa, Raj Thackeray was seen deep in conversation with Nitin Gadkari and Narendra Modi. They were getting along pretty thick. And because Maharashtra Assembly elections are round the corner, Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray are deep into organising rallies in the state. A few days ago, Uddav’s rallies were held in Jalna, and Raj’s rallies were held in Solapur, Kolhapur and Konkan. A large number of youth was seen in Raj’s gatherings, and instead of north Indians, he has started to directly target the NCP and its ministers. Raj’s media management also comes as a surprise to the state’s ruling parties. That is why neither the Congress nor the NCP want Raj and BJP’s closeness to increase at any cost. |
