Sonia will continue as UPA Chairperson |
December 13 2020 |
No matter how hot the speculation market is that NCP supremo Sharad Pawar is going to get the chair of UPA chief as a gift on his 80th birthday, everyone knows that Sonia Gandhi has gone to Goa just because of her asthma. She has no intention of leaving the UPA chief’s chair. However, both the Congress and NCP parties have made it clear that such things are being thrown out only to divert attention from the farmer movement. Sources reveal that by making Rahul Gandhi the Congress president, Sonia would like to keep the responsibility of UPA chairperson with her. However, all is not going well between the Congress and the NCP in Maharashtra, nor is the Congress happy with this alliance of Shiv Sena and NCP, in which both parties collectively target the Congress. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut’s statement is also to reinforce Pawar’s opinion that Congress is currently weak. Sharad Pawar will be 80 years old in the coming days. NCP will be looking for a bigger role in national politics but it is not possible at the expense of Congress. |
