Mulayam’s case to be reopened |
January 11 2015 |
Modi’s rhetoric of clean and transparent politics has certainly struck chord with general public in India but Modi’s promise of ‘Acche Din’ has also brought bad news for many regional political heavyweights. After J Jayalalitha, Mayawati, Mamata, Karunanidhi and Lalu, now its Mulayam’s turn to get caught. The recent remark by Justice Dattu, Chief Justice of India in disproportionate assets case involving Mulayam, can give a new twist to the issue. Infact, the then CBI Chief Ranjit Sinha had submitted a closure report in Mulayam’s disproportionate assets case, which was called ‘null and void’ by the CJI. The petitioner of this case Vishwanath Chaturvedi, has now decided to file a review petition, which may mean tough times for Mulayam in the near future. |
